Jr. Lady Bobcats move record to 5-2

The jr. lady bobcats defeated I.C.C. Friday night to improve their record to 5 wins against 2 losses on the season. Playing their 5th game in as many nights, the jr. girls showed a much stamina and grit as they beat the I.C.C. jr girls by a score of 32 to 8 at I.C.C.
The team had only 7 turnovers on the night and showed balanced scoring as ICC doubled on Amanda Whitman all night long. Patience on offense and an aggressive defense were the keys to the victory. Offensively, their patience paid off to the tune of 56% shooting from the field as 6 players scored and all 13 players saw playing time.
Scoring for the bobcats included Amanda Whitman and Kaylee Wood with 7 each, Courtney Martin had 8, Amy May 5, Amber Varn had 3 and Hannah Davis added 2.
The Jr. girls will play at home Thurs. night with the two seventh grade teams and jr. boys as Flippin hosts Jasper starting at 5:00pm |
