Sr. Girls defeated by I.C.C.
November 2, 2009 Flippin High School
The sr. girls had a long and costly night Friday night at I.C.C. as they were defeated 58 to 42. The sr. lady bobcats record is now 2 wins and 3 losses on the season.
Flippin fell behind early 7-0 and then fought back to tie the game at 7-7 and had momentum going their way as Alex Stubenfoll stole the ball to give the lady bobcats an opportunity to take the lead. As Alex drove for the basket she went down with an injury and as it turns out, she has a torn acl and will miss the remainder of the season.
The lady bobcats seemed to go flat after the injury and struggled the rest of the night, however, they worked hard, but, just could not seem to get everything together as they struggled on offense by shooting 37% from the field and 35% from the free throw line. The lady bobcats commited 14 turnovers and had 8 steals on the night. A cold shooting had and a few defensive breakdowns in the fourth quarter led to their 3rd defeat of the year.
Scoring for Flippin Kelsey Jensen had 14, Demi Hargrove had 9, Kiley Morris had 7, Brittany Crisenbery added 5 and Casey Massey, Kayla Gussy and Courtney Massey added 2 each.
The Sr. Girls will play Lead Hill @ Lead Hill Tues. night Nov. 3 |
